This month we're welcoming Doreen Addicott. Doreen is coming to chat to us about THE ROYAL ORDNANCE DEPOT just along the road at Weedon. Loads of info about it if you do a bit of a search.

'Napoleonic Wars era, built 1802, the Military Ordnance Depot was established by an Act of Parliament in 1803, as part of the British anti invasion preparations of 1803 - 1805. It was a central small arms depot, for the British Army and was originally served by the canal, by its own branch which entered through a portcullis.'
