Many churches will be receiving visitors between 10:am and 6:00pm. Most churches provide some sort of refreshment for participants. Individuals and groups of friends plan their own route where and when they please during the day, walking, cycling, horse riding, etc., visiting whichever churches they choose. Sponsor money collected is split 50:50 between the NHCT and the church chosen by the participant. Built in the 1730s, Kelmarsh hall was the beloved home to three families across two hundred and fifty years. There will be a service at the crash site memorial in Woodend at 12:00 noon, taken by father Tim to remember the loss of eleven American Airmen who sacrificed their lives that the ideals of democracy might live. The British Legion will attend with standard bearers. There will be a display of world war two military vehicles. Lest we forget. |
