Nomads Cricket Club Seeking Players & Supporters
With the new cricket season almost upon us, we welcome new players and supporters to our local district and community club, the Farthingstone and District Nomads Cricket Club, which is supported by Litchborough Parish Council, the Northants Community Foundation and the County Council. The Nomads are affiliated to the ECB and Northants Recreational Cricket.
The club, which plays its friendly “home” matches at the beautiful Preston Capes ground, has grown steadily and last summer enjoyed its most successful season. This is partly due to the efforts of the Litchborough-based players who enjoy both the social nature of the cricket played on the pitch and the relaxed family atmosphere off it.
Every new season brings fresh challenges and the coming 2016 season is no exception as the club seeks to build on its previous successes with improved playing and practice facilities.
We welcome anyone in the area – young, old, male, female - who want to enjoy a game of cricket or simply support this family-friendly club.
Matches usually take place on a Wednesday or Thursday evening or Sunday afternoons and we already have a number of fixtures arranged for the coming season on a friendly basis. Net sessions are on Thursday evenings starting around 7pm. These will start in early June and all are welcome.
We wish to thank Litchborough Parish Council for their very generous support which has been instrumental in enabling the new net facilities.

We welcome anyone who wants to get involved whether as a player or supporter. Please contact any of the Litchborough players below if you are interested in joining us.
