SOFEA (South Northants Food & Education Alliance), in conjunction with major supermarket chains, has organised an Emergency Community Larder scheme in South Northamptonshire
You can register with SOFEA to receive each week a free box of staple foods such as pasta and other dried-goods, tea & coffee, etc during the on-going coronavirus epidemic. This will be delivered to your door by a volunteer.
The scheme is designed to help those in real need, such as the elderly, those with major health issues and those suffering financial hardship – for example, through lay-off from work caused by the emergency.
You have to complete an application form to join the scheme. This can be obtained from Gareth Lugar-Mawson, The Rosary, 12 Banbury Road – Tel: 01327 830219 email: firstname.lastname@example.org, who is the point of contact for the scheme in Litchborough.
Gareth is happy to provide further details of the scheme should you wish to take part in it.
