Good Morning
I do hope that everything in your parish is fine, and you are all looking forward to spring and a sunny summer. It is of course the Queen’s Jubilee year and it will be wonderful if all the villages in South Northamptonshire are looking their most beautiful! I know many villages this year are planting more flowers in honour of Her Majesty and I would like to give litter picking an extra ‘push’ during the months of March and April, before the grass starts really growing. I am keen to get as many people involved as possible to ensure we have a litter free and tidy South Northamptonshire – I am sure this will lead to us all enjoying our beautiful area much more!
I would be delighted to hear of any plans you village has for litter picking over the coming months and also to receive any photographs you take so that I can promote the efforts of your village. I would also be happy to join in your litter picking sessions.
If you would like me to come along and assist or need any litter picking equipment please let Maggie my constituency manager know and my office will be happy to deliver litter pickers, hi viz tabards, gloves and bin bags the day before your own local litter pick, and we will also arrange for the council to collect the bin bags and the litter picking gear a couple of days later.
If your village or district would like to get involved please let Maggie know on 01327 353124 – maggie.clubley@parliament.uk with the date of your litter pick.
As the weather improves it will be a great way to enjoy the fresh air!
With warmest wishes
